The Pahlavuni tribal power is summed up under the fortified walls of Amberd. According to some historical sources, some parts of the castle and fortress were built in the 7th century, and the rest of the castle and fortress date back to the 10th century during the reign of Kamsarakan. Continuing the tour, you will see the Lake Kari, which is located on the slopes of Mount Aragats. Most of its water comes from ice and snow. It is located at an altitude of 3207 m above sea level, on a plateau, under mountain peaks. The lake is of glacial origin.
Then, during your one-day tour, you will also see the Armenian Alphabet Monument, which was built in 2005 on the 1600th anniversary of the creation of the Armenian alphabet. The monument includes ornaments of 39 letters of the Armenian alphabet and monuments of the great Armenians.
