The view from the Sevanavank Monastery located at the southern shore of a small island, is breathtaking. It gives you the feeling to have the blue-eyed treasure – Lake Sevan in the palm of your hand. Here you will not only enjoy the amazing view of Sevan, but also you will visit Sevanavank – a monastery at the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan. Continuing your tour, you will also visit Hayravank Monastery, which is also known as Mardaghavnyats (person-dove). The legend says that during Tamerlane’s invasion, the local priest turned thousands of Armenians into doves and freed them. Within the frame of this excursion, you will also visit Noratus village, which is the largest surviving cemetery in the world featuring khachkars.
